Blueberry Hill/Wolf Swamp Joint March@ Longmeadow DaysSaturday, May 17 Parade at 9:30Arrive by 8:30
Right now, the plan is:

Please have your child wear a blue colored shirt. It can have writing on it!

Park where you can! You may want to try behind Center School, either in the staff lot or on one of the side streets behind.

Then:

1. Meet at the steps to Center School's gym (to the left side of Center School if you're looking from Rte 5) at 8:30

2. Students walk over to St. Mary's at 8:40

3. Enjoy the parade at 9:30!

The other day, I was so happy to see only a 30% chance of rain. Sad to say, that's now being predicted at 100%. We can march if it's dampish, but will not if it's raining steadily/hard. If we are canceling I will email you between 7:30 and 7:45.

STUDY RECORDINGS FOR STRING FESTIVAL
Wolf Swamp 5th Grade Chorus
Imagine All the People …
Longmeadow Chorus Festival – March 19, 2014 – 7 pm – Symphony Hall, Springfield

Dear Longmeadow Chorus Families,

In October of 2005, the Longmeadow vocal music faculty met to discuss an idea. Wouldn’t it be a great opportunity for Longmeadow singers of all ages to perform for one another, and hear each other sing? When we looked at the numbers of students involved, we realized we had a wonderful problem: there is no place here in Longmeadow where nearly 700 members of our choral groups would fit! That led us to expand our vision and move downtown to Symphony Hall. We gave our first “Imagine” concert on March 23, 2006. It was a great success and we continue this concert every other year.

On March 19, 2014, all of Longmeadow’s choral ensembles from grade five through twelve will gather for an evening of performance. Each chorus will have an opportunity to perform by itself on the Symphony Hall stage. The evening will also begin and end with all of the singers united in song.

Grade 5 singers must be escorted by their parents to check-in with their choral teachers at their seats in the balcony a between 5:50 and 6:00 pm.

Costs to participants is $22. This includes unlimited concert admission. In order for all to have the opportunity to participate, if there is a financial hardship, please contact your child’s chorus teacher.

Please complete the enclosed permission slip and return it to your child’s chorus teacher with $22 (Checks made payable to LHS) by March 14th.

Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Thank you,
Susan E. Lauser
